MY MORNING ROUTINE

Different times, different routines
It’s interesting to me how time changes us. Well, at least it changed me.
Some 6 years ago if when I would wake up I would do the morning routine of personal hygiene and breakfast and turn on the tv and started looking at random stuff on it, sport, music, series, movies, whatever.
At some point, my mindset changed and I was looking for ways to improve myself and now my morning routines look very different.
Let me explain what changed.
Streching
Currently, I am 2 m tall and have 115 kg.
In order for me to function normally during the day, I noticed that I operate better if I stretch early in the morning,
I do stretch every morning for 10 – 15 minutes. Just a regular stretch or whatever I feel I need to stretch.
Normally is some stretching that I learn when I play active basketball so it’s more arms and legs as well as lower backstretch.
Now that is mandatory for me, if you are above 2m I’m sure you can relate to a deeper level on this subject 😀
Morning motivation
As I stretch I also listen to motivation clips that I play on YouTube.
There are millions of those on that platform so I usually browse and listen either to a mix of best compilation or I listen to something that I already could relate earlier so I might listen to the whole set of my favorite speakers such as Les Brown, Brian Tracy or some great speeches from Michael Jordan, Denzel Washington, Jim Carrey and of course George Carlin… There are many of those.
But for those 10 – 15 minutes, I find it very fulfilling to get some good positive energy in me. That is my fuel for the day.
Blogging
I would say that 80% of the content on my page is made in the morning in my routine.
While I stretch and listen to motivation clips I do think of things I need to do in the day, the challenges of the day.
I do organize my thoughts and then usually I will start writing the blog right after the stretching part.
I do however have my Samsung Note 10 with that pen open on the side of my stretching mat so if I get some idea I write it immediately on it and then expand on the idea after I’m done stretching and start blogging.
And yes, this blog post is also made as a part of my mourning routine.
Education
I love to learn, I do!
With the internet, free content is available all over the net and it’s crazy not to take advantage of it.
Everything you want to know is on YouTube. Everything! Type in How to make and atomic bombs and it will show you the steps 😀
I am enrolled in some free and paid programs and online courses and I love all of it.
The courses are now more and more organized in these long and short formats which is great.
If I want to learn something in-depth I will watch a course for 4 – 5 hours, as I did to start learning about video editing in Adobe After Effect.
Then you have courses that are 30 min long or even 10 min long but those are more for a specific subject. Courses are also separated into beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels which is also great.
Currently, i am learning a lot on LinkedIn learning. It’s a great educational platform.
For that, you need to have a LinkedIn account as well as paid Premium membership so you have access to that kind of learning.
Conclusion
The morning routine is important. Life-changing I would say.
I did change mine a little bit in time until I found what fits me and what gives some energy in the morning.
Your routine will fuel you thru the day and help you think that you already did something good for yourself in a day when you are still in waking up mode.
Pick what fits you and start doing mourning routines. Believe me, it works wonders for your body and mind.
