WHY IS HELPING OTHERS IMPORTANT?

Give away freely
Happiness is a perfume you cannot pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself.
How great is this quote?
I absolutely love it!
What does this quote mean?
I believe this quote contains a valid life lesson.
You can not do something good or bad without affecting yourself in the process.
If you do good deeds, good deeds will happen to you, likewise if you do bad.
Now when you pour perfume on yourself and by perfume I mean you’d decide to do good to others, to help, to care, and when you wear that perfume with you, people will recognize it and it just might become your brand, something you can be known for.
Imagine you have a perfume or creativity on you or somebody believes you are an expert at something and that that is your perfume.
How great would it be to have it or “smell” it on somebody else?
Why is this important?
There is a saying that I love as well:
Nobody is that poor that he/she can not give a smile away
Amazing right? I love it.
We all have “help” inside of us. We are all good at our core and we want to help.
By helping others you are making yourself happy in the process. It is always rewarding.
Remember the last time you helped somebody, it might be with some work, with some money with a hug, anything…How did it make you feel? Good right?!
The other day I have seen my friend struggle with his LinkedIn profile, for the cover image. It took me 3 min to do it (I been doing it for a while now) and in just 3 minutes he keeps saying everybody how great I am at doing graphics (free marketing as well).
I didn’t even think about it, I just helped a friend in need. And that 3 min “cost” me a day of laughter and fulfillment inside. Just 3 minutes and I was happy and he was as well. I saved him time and give him a good product he can use. Helping means a win-win for everybody.
Make it a lifestyle!
Don’t just help when people are watching to get some props and claps. Help regardless!
I had the “privilege” to save 4 people’s life thus far. I could have easily turned my head and move on.
Easy does not make it right. Even tho at the time the adrenalin was rushing like crazy that human in me help me go thru it and I’m happy I can say 4 people are still living because of me and my actions.
Now, you don’t have to save somebody’s life (but please do if you can) but help somebody in need in any way.
Maybe it’s a good conversation, let them vent on you, just listen.
Make somebody coffee.
Go hug a friend.
If you can, if you have some certain expertise, offer somebody a helping hand. It might be a presentation, a short video, an idea, advice…anything!
Trust me..It will “pay” off in a long run and you will definitely feel way better immediately.
