YOU ARE WHAT YOU REPEATEDLY DO

Good habits
Back in high-school, i could jump pretty high. I had the feeling like the rim was close to my face and rebounding was my “forte” in basketball.
Not until I reach college-level basketball is when I realized I need to work on my rebounding.
So I went to see one of our assistant coaches and ask him Hey coach, I would love to increase my vertical leap, and idea how can I do that?
He just gives me a blank stare and said So, you want to jump higher? Well, then fucking jump more!
I said Hahaha, you funny coach, but really, is there a plan I can follow or something?
He looks at me and said Well I just told you what you need to do if you want to jump higher, jump more. It’s all about muscle memory.
I really noticed that he is not joking so I try his somewhat simple advice.
I keep jumping all over places, before practice, on practice, and after practice.
I was basically a kangaroo for like 2 months. Was jumping on my way to breakfast, launch, and dinner 😀
BUT, in like a month or so I did jump higher, way higher, and the feeling was great, All those who can dunk can relate 😀
Same principle can be applied to business.
Let’s say you are bad at writing, but your job entitles you to need to write. What you need to do is WRITE.
Write about anything and learn about writing as much as you can. In time your writing will improve dramatically.
I actually believe that my writing is my weakest marketing skill, but here I am, writing like crazy…and getting better while I do it
It’s all about muscle memory. What you repeatedly do becomes your habit. With good habits, success is closer then what you might think.
